Question in title.

We all have those experiences where we've backed a project, and somehow, something happened. And there were delays in the shipment.. or you just couldn't contact the personnel in charge of the item, or when you got the item, it turned out that it wasn't just as good/ what you were expecting etc.

You can decide to disclose the name of the item or not. It's up to you. I just want to know if anyone has had similar experiences with mine.

I'll start:

I once pledged $100+ to a kickstarter project that was a set of super comfy and stylish headphones which could also be personalized to my choosing. The crowdfunding was done, they hit their target and I thought, well, there's that, I'm soon to be getting my agreed upon headphones. 6 months passed, then 8, and I still haven't gotten any news or updates. And the headphones were nowhere to be found. Sent a few e-mails and they said they were having difficulties with suppliers. Grand... Til today I still have no clue where the headphones.. and my money, went.

I didn't back personally but I've been following with interest since the launch back in Spring 2017.
The FYB London Smart Handbag.
I had my doubts that they'd be able to deliver this without running into problems.
It's now 6 months late & backers are getting seriously pi**ed off at the lack of communication from the creators.
I thought creators had learned by now that communication is key - backers can be extremely patient & understanding so long as they're kept fully informed & the creators don't (as in this case) keep going silent on them & missing promised dates for updates,

I don't know about the worst one, but the best one I ever backed was this one - a kid in England came up with it:

"Anti Zombie soap - In the case of a zombie apocalypse you will need something to keep you safe from infection"

But don't worry, he goes on to say: "Ok so you forgot to use your anti zombie soap this morning and you got bitten but its ok as we all know you don't turn into a zombie straight away so we have a cure The Anti Zombie Chill Pill Bath Bomb."

I just got a kick out of his kooky concept.

I haven't had any bad experience backing Kickstarters yet, I have only backed board games so far though.
