New Project, free use of site, free Ebook.

    by rollerworld » Wed Jul 17, 2013 9:29 am

Free Ebook: and free site use.

I want to use Kick-starter to fund this project and get it off the ground. I want the
site to be free to use, and my book,'The Brain Natures Own Computer', to be
free to read. Monetizing for the continuation of the site will be for advertisers
to advertise on the site, and for the harvesting of customers details to sell on to
psychology sites and psychology magazine companies.

I am looking to raise 20 thousand pounds to pay for the setting up of servers and
advertising in psychology magazines, and newspapers to get this project going.

Any help with Ideas to bring this concept to fruition will be appreciated.

    Thanks, rollerworld.

Welcome to the forum! :) I'd be very careful about selling customer information- You can get into a lot of trouble there and lose the trust of your customers.

My thoughts (take them with a grain of salt):

As a web developer, I personally don't think you need 20,000 to set up the website and begin getting traction. I've set up CrowdCrux.com, CrowdfundingPr.org and KickstarterForum.org and it costs me less than $10 a month and I have attracted advertisers and a small following on CrowdCrux. You can hire a good wordpress developer to create a beta product for 1,000 using a pre-existing template or do it yourself relatively easily and then use social media and content marketing to generate traffic until it justifies the investment.
