    Community Orientated Tech Center

    by TECHTUTORS » Sat Jun 20, 2015 12:01 am

Knowledge is Power - Learn a new job skill today and increase your income tomorrow. Check out our Community-Orientated Tech Center!

We want to bring a community-orientated tech center in Citrus Heights to help increase our local labor pool with additional skills which in return helps our local businesses receive highly qualified employees.

Over the last few years, Sacramento County specifically, has had 4 major headquarter locations move out of California due to the high taxation costs of doing business here.

This has left a recent influx of 45+ year old individuals apply for jobs with minimal technology skills in our community. These individuals are competing for the same job as a newly graduated 20 yr. old that can speak geek like its nothing.

Our Tech Center will will offer classes/courses in two or more of the following areas:

Public Access or Open Lab Time,
    Basic Internet Access
Afterschool Activities, Youth Education, and Youth Development
    Adult Education, Literacy, and ESL
Career Development, Job Preparation, and Workforce Development
Technical Assistance, Financial Literacy, and eCommerce
Electronic Publishing (including print, video or multi-media)
    Computer Recycling or Refurbishing
