Howdy, I'm playing beat the clock. I'm in the USA. I set up a new Amazon Payments personal account just for Kickstarter, and then I set up a "Checkout by Amazon" account for the DBA business, card, bank account, etc. I chose "Create a new account (Recommended for Business accounts)" instead of "Use existing customer account". Is that the right way to do it? When I try to verify the account with Kickstarter, it takes me to the personal AP account which seems to have nothing to do with Kickstarter. It does not provide instructions on what to do other than log into AP. That's not the only issue.
The other issue is, when I log into AP, it gives the following message:
"As a result of changes to federal regulation, Amazon Payments is required to verify your identity. This functionality is temporarily disabled, pending verification of your information."
On the top right, just to make things clear, it says "Welcome to your Amazon Payments Personal Account".
I have about 9 or 10 days before I have to have everything launched and up and running. Thanks.
Update: And the latest message: "Important Message: This functionality has been disabled on your account. We have failed in verifying the information submitted by you. Click here to find out more about these restrictions."
