If you want support from your friends and family, I would recommend directly reaching out to them (emails, fb messages, calls). A lot probably don't know what Kickstarter is and may need assurances and more information about your project. You also then have an opportunity to deal with their rejections (see: http://www.crowdcrux.com/how-to-convinc ... -campaign/)
