Season 1 of my passion project, "Love or Duty" has launched on Kickstarter! So far, off to a good start with 17 backers in the first week!
"Love or Duty" is an exciting mermaid shoujo manga series featuring the fun and struggles of balancing romance, friendships, and high stakes heroism! The story stars a newly adult mermaid with an enchanted voice named Namiko. She travels to Japan to connect with her beloved Eiji who is part of the mysterious pop band ExciTe. However when she arrives, she is awakened as a chosen heroine who will seal away the Shadows, the evils forces who curse and poison humankind.
While engaging in goofy shenanigans with her new-found friends who support her romantic endeavor, together they uncover secrets that surround the music of ExciTe, and work together to save the world from the grip of the shadows!

The project runs until March 31, 2023. My ultimate goal is get ISBNs and get "Love or Duty" eventually mainstreamed into stores, while starting smaller scale with this Kickstarter campaign! So far, we're off to a good start. In this first week 1/6 of the $2948 goal was reached! I'm still doing promos on instagram and learning how to promote on other mediums to extend the outreach! I'm having so much fun with this and I'm really hoping to reach the funding goal!
