Is there a risky solution out there (air or electric) that handles low grit as well as higher grit grinding for us Turners? Does anyone have any feedback on Metabo 3"? i tried the older grex model and it worked perfectly for higher graininess ... but it did not reach the lower graininess. Have they made improvements to the new models? Currently, I use both lower grits and hand grinding of higher grits...and i always carry a candle of hope that someday i will come across a suitable solution of ros.

I don't know about Metabo, there are good orbital sanders....

Honestly, I haven't heard about Metabo sander before, but I am not someone who knows a lot about this. Everything I know I learned on bestorbitalsander.com, it's a great website for people that are newbies like I am. If you are looking for good sanders you can find a list of them on that website. All the sanders on the list are reviewed, and you can make an educated decision. Furthermore, you can check out the website, you can learn a lot about these tools, and also learn how to use them properly. It can be really helpful, good luck!
