I've talked with a lot of people that have run multiple campaigns, fewer that have run multiple successful ones. Usually (from the ones I've spoken with), a creator will run one on Kickstarter and then figure out what they need to re-tool to be successful (better video, rewards, lower fundraising goal, etc). They then might re-run a Kickstarter campaign or take it over to Indiegogo because they feel like the TOS of Kickstarter is too strict or that they would rather do a flexible funding campaign on Indiegogo (keep funds even if you don't hit your goal, but the platform takes a bigger percentage).
