Electron microscopy artwork calendar

I think crowdfunding is a wonderful way that we can help get ideas we are excited about out there. :)

I am a biologist and have specialised in electron microscopy for the past 13 years, using what is essentially an advanced form of photography (using electrons rather than photons) to answer biological questions.

What excites me is that not only are the images informative, but they can be beautiful. I want to share this with others, hence my project.

The link to the project is as follows. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1627392371/electron-microscopy-art-calendar-2014

I would love any feedback and good luck to the other projects out there.

Posted this on my friend's Facebook wall who loves bio and art. :) How's the campaign been going so far? Seems like you are on an upward trend judging from Kicktraq

Thank you for sharing! I really appreciate it.

The project seems to be going well and we are on track to hit our goal. It is a lot of work and, like others I have seen posting on here, I am worried about over promoting the work. :) Colleagues have reassured me that is unlikely to be the case and I have a few thinks to tap into still. My main think is getting people to spread the word as I think that is probably the best way to get funding, seems less like begging for help that way. :)

Yea definitely. One of my friends really liked it (she's going through med school). Have you done any promoting on pinterest with hashtags? Feel like some of your images could also work well with a relevant image-based tumblr blogger.

I have not tried pintrest or tumblr. I will look into both and appreciate the recommendation. Thanks.
