Hi everyone

My name is Marcus Penny and I'm looking for support and advice on how to reach a large audience to plug my kick starter ideal called Mushi. What is Mushi, well simply put it’s a 2D/3D web browser I’m building that will have 3 main features. One, it will give it’s end users the ability to control their PC/Mac via their webcam which you can see in the example here

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6wfDpP1jNyY

Secondly, it will have a built in tablet with tablet interface, 2D/3D Graphics which is open source so anyone can create apps and style components which you can see an example here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M-4bAATxens I will also provide a revolutionary market in which apps and other components can be traded and kept on a cloud drive to no expense of the end user for online offline usage. Currently 3D content is viewed using amber and blue anaglyphic glasses as seen here

Mushi 3D capabilities will also include other technologies like polarized light, shutter glasses, and blue red anaglyphic glasses so end users can use their existing digital sets and tech.

The last and most exciting aspect of Mushi is the 2D/3D web browser. In this sections end users will be able to chose to surf the net in 2D/3D fashion. Traditional internet surfing vs Tablet surfing (internet sights that are by designed to appear like a traditional app) Tablet surf is quite different, in this mode a user will surf the internet for sites that are designed in tablet application fashion. Both modes will utiize Mushi's hand and light scribe tracking capabilities that are tracked using a webcam. This means all the buttons and controls can be accessed and controlled using Mushi’s Hand tracking software, Mushi Light Scribe(LED light pen use generates colors not found in the webcams vewing area, once the tracing color is determined Mushi tracts the movements of the light pen, Light Sribe is used by pointing the users webcam toward user), 3rd party devices, motion tracking devices, air mouse, and traditional mice. I will provide source code and examples needed for 3rd party development to ensure ease and ability of 3rd parties to effectively create websites that offer content and control like what we expect an app to be with one exception it will have a 2D/3D mode for 2D/3D viewing and sprite interaction.

Mushi will allow its user the ability to use the light scribe pin to interact with 3D sprites, buttons, and Game elements directly. So you will be able to touch it, move it, launch it, ect. The direct interact feature is currently being designed to work with Higher 3D technologies ie polarized light sets, shutter technologies only. The anaglyphic users will not be left out because I am also building an anaglyphic interface that will allow for indirect interaction akin to the main feature. I want to thank you ahead for your sugesstions and ask you to visit and share my kick starter and YouTube pages below

Hi Marcus. First of all 2.5 million is a huge goal. I would recommend hiring a PR company to reach this kind of goal, unless you have a large established following. In my opinion, you really need to get on the large blogs/news sites to raise this kind of money.

That being said, I would emphasize to your friends/family and any strangers you are marketing the project to that every dollar counts. I've talked with campaign creators in the past that have set a large goal and have difficulty getting any kind of pledge from their social network because people feel like it's a small drop in the bucket compared to their large fundraising goal.

Thanks sbriggman

I will look into getting help. By the way I don't know if any one has said it so I will. You are doing a great thing, giving advise to those who would other wise not have access to it. So Thanks again

Marcus
