Kickstarter Campaign Starting REALLY Slow

Hello all!

We have a Kickstarter campaign up and running right now! It's the first day of launch and I can't help but feel anxious. We've been up for 7 hours now and it looks like we only get 1 backer per hour right now. We've spent months on social media marketing the product, we've gotten some reviewers (although they haven't posted their reviews yet...) and we tapped into our e-mail list, which resulted in a few backers but not many.

I'm trying to figure out what we did wrong, if we did anything wrong, or if it was just not a good time to launch. Maybe I'm over-thinking things. It IS only the first day...

Anyone have any tips on getting more traffic?

Here's the Kickstarter link for anyone who wants to see: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/sh ... zy-commute

Thank you,
Rena

Hi Rena,

I think the graphics look great and the woman in the video is cute haha. But I can see the initial problem is that it's lacking alot of information on playing the game. For example you've got alot of open images and then a couple of paragraphs in between.

How about images of people actually playing the game itself, having fun etc., the impact of these photos is greater than a boring set of instructions of how to play it. Right now, as I skimmed the page I've no idea how to play. It could be like Cluedo or a character based card game, but that's it.

I think if you can target the audience in the best way that appeals to them, then you'll get more backers. Hope this helps.

Thank you, Hyperstarter!

We'll work on the how-to-play gifs for more info and see if I can find any photos of our playtesters! Many of them didn't want to be photographed so that could be a problem...
