So we launched today - exciting and scary - TT RPG Files

Hi everyone!

We launched our campaign today and it's done better than I thought it would but I would like to keep the momentum going, any advice or tips aimed at my campaign would be much appreciated. I have reached out to content creators on YouTube and blogs with a small amount of success but not a huge amount.

I know the photos/videos are a little amateurish but it is a very small campaign and I have almost zero budget.

Best regards
Rob.

Hi Rob,

It's all understandable as you're raising funds, so don't worry about the amateur look.

My initial question is that what is it? I'm confused. The title is so long and seems very niche specific, that it feels your target audience isn't people on this board but for a certain group of people. The simple answer is to find that group (through Ads, forums or groups) and target them.

Hope this helps.

It is very niche - I have two facebook groups which have generated most of the pledges so far I believe (a lot of referrals from facebook).

It is a set of digital files that you can download and print with your 3D printer for table top board games/rpgs. So it is very niche, you need to own a 3D printer and be into table top games. Although there is history of companies doing very well off this exact thing, like Fat Dragon Games and TrueTiles.

Thanks for the advice - I will be trying some targeted ads!

Thank you for sharing your story! I just launched my project 4 days back but haven't been seeing much traffic as well. I similarly posted on several facebook groups and tried targeted ads too, but those aren't effective for me either. I am in the fashion category which is pretty generic..

Hi thanks for replying!

I don't know what your situation is with the groups you posted in but I have posted in them for at least a year and have what I would call fairly good authority on the subject of my kickstarter.

I have posted images and content in the group and received 100+ likes on most of my posts, which is pretty good for the group. It is such a niche product though that I am not expecting anything amazing to come out of the kickstarter, but hopefully some satisfied customers!

I feel like I am doing fairly well (even though my requested funding amount is low), I am 36% funded in the first day.
