I think you need to explain in detail why a person would need this bottle opener as $19 CA + postage is alot to ask when there's simple alternatives (and teeth). You also need to explain the fact why it looks like a chunk of metal and why it was ergonomically designed this way.
A great way to get backers is to just take it to local bars, get clients to test it out and if they're interested give them the link to your Kickstarter page...
