Hello everyone my name is Josh and I have never used kickstarter or an eCommerce site like Etsy or big cartel.

I am currently working on my kickstarter page (not live) to help support my dream of becoming a pin designer. I call my "shop" Fandompins. As I like to say I am a certified "nerd" , love many fandoms and love the artwork and creativity of pins.

I do not have have a site yet as I am hoping my kickstarter campaign will be successful enough just to get me started with upfront costs. Then I was planing on opening a store on either Etsy or Bigcartel (big cartel maybe free but only takes paypal)

I am not looking for thousands of dollars for the next great project. Luckily pins are relatively inexpensive (couple hundreds of dollars), but regardless it has already been a bit overwhelming and I am not even live yet.

I appreciate any future advice as I take this journey.

Thank you all for looking at my post.

Hi Josh, What have you done so far and do you have a draft Kickstarter to share with us?

What's up!

I think you'll find a lot of great introductory information on this forum.

I just released a new YouTube video comparing some of the major ecommerce platforms. Think that will also be helpful.

In the long run, ecommerce is all about learning how to generate traffic and convert it into sales. Sometimes that's paid traffic, sometimes organic.

From the product standpoint (fulfillment, manufacturing), that's going to vary from industry to industry.
