Hi Brian- Welcome to the forum! I'm the admin/moderator, a blogger, and a crowdfunding enthusiast! Seems like you've had some good strong pledges to start off the campaign. Anything in particular you would like feedback on?

Sure, any suggestions on how to better each that second tier of support (i.e., getting more support from people we don't have an existing relationship with?)

And from the research I've done, it seems that there are lulls in the process for most projects, and that the closer you get to the end, the more things pick up (especially if you're close to meeting your goal, people typically like supporting a winner.) Does that correlate with your experience as well?

With regards to the first question, I think it comes down to experimentation and tracking conversion rates. What percentage of people that see your video pledge or what percentage of strangers that come to the page pledge? By experimenting with messaging/marketing you can alter these conversion rates. At the end of the day, you still need to drive the traffic. See my blog for a jumpstart on internet marketing: http://www.crowdcrux.com/get-a-crash-co ... resources/

In response to the second, yes many people I've talked with say there is a lull in the middle of the project when there isn't the initial excitement in the beginning and there's not the sense of urgency in the end.

Where can I find those metrics? That's exactly what I've been looking for!

The percentage of people that see your video and then pledge should be in your campaign dash board. The percentage of strangers that come to the page and pledge, you may need to track on your own using Bitly.

All I see in the dashboard are the number of video views, but no metrics on clicks to donations. I'll check out Bitly, thanks.
