Baby come back!

It's been discussed before, I think, but I've had some limited success with messaging dropped backers. Kickstarter backers who pledge and then cancel. I assume most pledge cancellations are for reasons other than the project itself; either they were on the fence and found something better, or they had a financial change. None the less, I've sent messages with the tone of a romantic comedy movie, "Hey, hope you've been well. I'm doing okay, of course not as well as when you were here. I hope our paths may cross again someday." I've had a couple of re-signups after these messages. It has not amounted to much (about 1% of project revenue as cancellations are usually smaller pledges) but for people with lower average pledges, it may be more helpful.

What has worked for you?

I think its a matter of fact that owners of projects need to keep people updated every day or two with news or surprises that can get them engaged at all time through out the whole campaign period
