Hey Kickstarter community! I wanted to share a tabletop card game that's on kickstarter that I did some work on as an illustrator. The campaign is almost up, and still has a way to go. I'd appreciate it if you would all at least give it a look. Here's the link, and a sneak peek at some of the illustrations I did for the game below.

Nice thanks for sharing! Seems like your campaign is progressing nicely according to Kicktraq stats :). What have you learned since launching it?

Thanks for taking a look at it. This was a really fun project to work on. Normally I do fantasy and sci-fi stuff, so it was different to do something more historically accurate. I can't wait to play the physical game itself. It's really well designed, and I hope everyone who plays it enjoys it.

I'm only one of the artist that did illustrations fro the cards, so the campaign isn't mind. I'm just trying to help the games creator get the word out. Though I have learned just how much work is involved to try and market a campaign, to make sure you have all the bases covered. I thought the game was already shown here on the forums, Wish I had caught that sooner.

It is a TON of work, no joke. For small raises ($4k isn't small, but in crowdfunding terms), I think one of the better strategies is to really nail down who has seen your campaign or knows that you're doing it, but hasn't taken action. Then you can reach out to them directly, deal with objections, and get them to pledge.

For example, if you sent out a mailchimp newsletter, you see certain people opened it and didn't. You could email the people who didn't open it or get in contact with them via another channel and ask why they haven't pledged. You could also notice the people who opened the email, but didn't take action, and then ask them why. I'll also use a tool like Boomerang in my email inbox to help with follow up and tracking whether or not people have opened my emails.

That's actually pretty smart! I'll remember that for the next time. Thanks for the advice.
