I read the article, so basically if you use this agency - then you're paying to have your campaign blasted to their built up mailing list. Isn't this what guys like Funded Today, Backerclub and Backercamp do already? ;/

Good read! Many crowdfunders don't build their own email list during pre-launch mode. We always recommend building your own email list which we have helped crowdfunders do. We don't take a percentage unless it is for FB Advertising which we take 10% of their advertising budget.

We get campaigns press coverage, social media posts, lead referrals, and more with our plans for less than $1000. Our plans also come with a second chance guarantee. Even if you have your own email list, you can always use another network to get more supporters. However, you shouldn't give up to 10% like Agency 20 or up to 35% like Funded.Today.
