My friend is promoting her first novel and got two thirds of a page in The Mail on Sunday and on the Mail on Line which is the UK's biggest selling national paper. The article covered crowd funding (Google it at The Mail on LIne and search crwdfunding) and she was SO excited thinking that would really help her to meet her target! Guess how many more pledgers she got that week?? 2!

Did they publish the full url in the newspaper?

Surely she could add the logo and link (if online) to the article...it's bound to help her in any press she sends out too.

She looks to be about 80% of the way, so I'm sure it helped! The KS page doesn't explain too much, would of liked to have seen more imagery (even if it's a photo of her writing or notes).

If she needs any help, feel free to get in touch! All the best.

Thanks - yes she's happy that the coverage helps to give her clout but had also hoped it might bring in a few pledges. The K/S page was done by her publisher so she has no control over that sadly. Thanks - I will pass your message on.

No problem! It's a shame she wasn't more "hands on" as delegating something like a Kickstarter page is pretty important :)
