I wanted to share my experience with Thunderclap.it.
For those who don't know how this works, you basically get the people you know to add support with their FB, twitter and/or tumblr and then you set a date. On the day you want it will send a message about your campaign to ALL the contacts from the people who supported.
I thought this was a great pre-launch tool and I worked really hard to get all the support it needed.

My social reach was over 170,000 people and It launched today at noon. I was hoping for a boost on my kickstarter
but so far I haven't seen anything. maybe it's too soon to see any results?

Thanks for this post and sharing your findings. I can't really vouch for Thunderclap but whenever I've spoken to the owner, he replied quickly and seem to care about campaigns.

My initial thinking is that you shouldn't be targeting 170k general people, if none are interested. Having 1 targetted person is better than 170k who aren't into your campaign.

Hi simple, you can use our crowdfunding app Krowdster to spread the word about your campaign. Krowdster's feature Crowd Builder lets you contact thousands of proven backers on social media filtered by the category of your campaign.

* Vanessa, I don't think it's fair-play to recommend your service on top of another company's post.

We provide a service too, but I'm not recommending ours when it's a thread on another company...it's not good practice and I don't think you'd appreciate if Thunderclap did it on your threads ;/

Hey Giftsandcoupons, I agree with your comment. I'm sorry about that, and thanks for pointing it out.

I think it's official my thunderclap.it didn't help in the least amount my campaign.
I feel like social media is simply filled with insane amounts of noise so even if you
reach out to so many people it's just not easy having them pay attention to it.
