Probably just like all the project owners, we were nervous, excited, and anxious to press the "Launch" button on Kickstarter... and here it is now - https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/15 ... wine-glass
I'm SO happy to report that the response has been phenomenal so far...few backers have even sent me messages stating how cool the product is... as most of you entrepreneurs would know, THAT feels so reassuring... especially when it's a completely new concept which you have believed in but no one else had seen before! Phew!
First let me share the various mentions of our product so far (not mentioning the PR newswire kind of blasts):
http://killerstartups.com/startup-revie ... wine-again
http://www.getdatgadget.com/aura-glass- ... edesigned/
And of course...
http://www.crowdfundingpr.org/aura-glas ... ine-glass/
Now coming to the challenge - we are certainly facing tremendous amount of challenge explaining our target audience what kickstarter is, and even what crowdfunding is!
We have received emails through our website where people have wanted the product but even after we explain they remain wary of ordering from a concept they aren't aware of. The Google Analytics data for our website shows the same results.
So here I am seeking your advice on how you did it? How did you overcome this hurdle? What's the best way to reach the backer community... people who really get it!
Comments would be most appreciated.
