Funded.Today / Funding Agencies

Hi,

I am currently doing the research portion of getting ready to launch a Kickstarter campaign and I am seeing a lot of campaigns are using Funded.Today

Does anyone on here have any feedback or information on the agency Funded-Today? I have been looking into using them but I am sure really sure how they work and what they charge.

Some places I have read say they charge 35% of funds raises by them and others say 35% of overall funding after they are hired.

Any feedback would me much appreciated or if you can let me know about any other agencies.

Thanks,

As far as I know, Funded.today only take 30% from your fundings starting from the point you choose to hire them.

NOT OVERALL. But maybe I was misinformed. Please correct me if I am wrong. Do you have any experience with other PR agencies? Mind to let us know?

The second you go live you get literally attacked by firms all trying to get a chunk of your funding. We are trying to do it without them, but who knows! it's a long and lonely road to funding for us, since we haven't gotten a ton of steam outside of our personal inner circle.

Our kickstarter is here if you want to take a look! and maybe back it with a a buck! https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/89 ... obile-golf

I haven't launched my own Kickstarter (yet) but I do sometimes do work on behalf of campaigns. They've always approached us (which is nice!) but I have wondered who is contacting campaign owners and what they're saying!

You can find a collection of reviews about Funded Today at www.fundedtodayreviews.com, if it helps any.

As for both services and prices, Funded Today doesn't readily share that information except in one-on-one chats with one of their "client specialists" (sales representatives); so, in order to get that information, you'd need to visit their website at www.funded.today to submit an application. As others have noted elsewhere in this forum, those prices may be negotiable, but there are also tradeoffs involved.

Jellop works on a commission model, but you have to pay for the ads. If you're looking for some sort of marketing agency that pays for all your ads and takes a commission, I think you won't be able to find that. I don't know who would work under something like that but whatevs.

Yes, Jellop normally has clients pay for ads, and takes a cut. They're also very selective about their clientele---I understand that they only approach campaigns that are on track to raise six figures or more.

But you're mistaken about other companies not paying for ads. In fact, that's exactly how we normally operate at Funded Today. We ask our newest clients to pay a upfront fee for some intense ad experiments. If the experiments show that we can't find a way to advertise a campaign profitably, then we'll part ways, unless perhaps we believe that we can still profit sufficiently through other techniques like cross-promotions. If we CAN find a way to advertise a campaign profitably, then we'll pay for all of the ads ourselves, and charge a cut. We've developed some rather "deep pockets," I guess. And we'll pour as much money as possible into our profitable client's campaigns as long as we're confident that we can get back more than we put in. We've spent six figures on some campaigns, and many millions altogether. Quite a few campaigns never prove to be profitable for us, though, and so we're not able to help them as we'd like.

They take 30% from the total amount you raise.

That's way too high.
