One of the main reasons we failed last time is that the prices were too high. We worked very hard last month on down costing the lights. With the new prices, It seems the reaction from the crowd is much better than before.
Although there is people still think it's a bit expensive compared to normal bike lights on the market, this is the lowest we can go without modifying the outlook as the aluminum housing production is quite expensive on its own. It was actually quite a struggle at the beginning when we working on the re-launch, the price could go even lower if we change to plastic housing. But then it may not look as good as it is now and more importantly, we will have to re-do everything (prototyping, photos and video taking) which cost extra time and money too. Hence we decided to try again with the current solution first.
On the other hand, we felt that our presentation was not clear enough as there are people asking some questions that we thought there were answers to those questions in our page/video. So we redesigned the content with less wordings more graphics. We also added voice-over to the video, which significantly increased the % of complete playback of the video. Most people, including us, don't like to watch boring video and lots of words to understand one product, so we think the presentation is also an important part to success.
