THE O - wearable to stop losing and forgetting stuff

Very happy to be able to post here and get your feedback! We just launched THE O on Kickstarter (http://kck.st/1Qlkc8q) - and I backed it ;-) We are excited to see how it goes. It's our go at ending the suffering from losing and forgetting things.

The app is proactive and our philosophy for the app was to minimize interactions: kind of a watch-first approach, with interactive notifications only.

As for the design, we wanted to optimize it for a broad variety of objects to attache to:
- a flat bottom with adhesives for any flat surfaces (laptops, camera lids, chargers)
- smooth edges nicely slip it into something like a wallet
- high waterproof standard (IPX6) for outdoors
- fine grooves to sew it onto fabrics (as in... ""wearable"" ;-) )
- a nice accessory for keys, bags, briefcases that even the most fashion-conscious people don't mind (and actually like) and that also looks in a suit-and-tie office setting
- a minimalist version of the accessory for the more practical and sporty folks

But enough!! I wanna hear from you guys what you think.

Many thanks for any kind of comments!

Christian

I think this idea is great and I'm sure you'll reach your target soon. The pebble idea is great too. Probably features I'd like to see is that I'd like it to glow in the dark, perhaps offer a black/grey version, maybe see/hear it glow or emit a beep if you're too far away from it.

Probably I'd like to know what options the app has, how configurable is it...but that's me being picky.

Good luck with it!

Hi there! Thanks a lot for the suggestions! I like the glow in the dark idea. Could be done quite easily with special paint I assume. As for the app, this is good feedback, too. We will show off more demos on the page. Best, Christian

Hi Christian,

Thanks for getting back to me and taking my suggestions onboard, I guess I've quite a bit of experience of gifts and crowdfunding through my own site.

If you wanted more exposure on our gift ideas site, let me know.

All the best,
Giles
