Hey Everyone,

We've finally launched our kickstarter! :) i've been following this blog for a long time now getting really good advice from everyone so thank you all!
I would be honoured if you could check us out and give me some feedback. It's a bit different than usual kickstarter campaigns but it seems to be off to a good start!
Here we are: bit.ly/magnetreebooks

Thanks,
Ronny & Josie

Do you have an actual KS page to look at as the Bitly link didn't work for me!

Hey,

Not sure why the link wasn't working with you.
Here is the actual link:

Any support is much appreciated :)

Hi, I had a look...looks great!

The $35 price might be high for a book, lowering it may see more backers. The $1000 pledge sounds cool too, I think you should open x10 spots for that as the vanity of having your own book based on your must be very high!

My initial thinking is are the magnets toxic. The first thing would be that my kid would put them in his mouth...if it was dropped in water, would the ink run off?

I think this is a cool looking project, hope it works out and if you want us to promote it on our site, let me know!

Thanks for the feedback! Very helpful!

We debated the price for a while, and had a focus group decide in the end.
I can see that it's a bit high, but we still think it's good value because the book comes with 9 photo magnets and everything is very good quality (the magnets themselves usually go for about $20 to $30).
Thanks for the advice on the large reward. We are definitely open to increasing the limit on that.

We are also taking safety very seriously. Our magnets are made out of very safe material (not rare earth magnets) and are big enough to pass Canada's safety requirements for children's magnet toys. They are also laminated to avoid any ink coming off.

I will definitely check out your services to see if we can use them.

I'm a humanitarian relief worker in Nepal right now so it's a bit tough to manage this (bad timing!) but hopefully I'll be getting back to Canada soon.
