I was on an airplane that charged for wifi. I turned on my IPad wifi and noticed a server with a hard drive name listed so I clicked on it. I then had access to about 100 movies. I didn't watch any as I thought that the owner was a parent with children that required entertainment to behave on the plane. No movie was worth upsetting a child over, so I turned off my wifi and read magazines I loaded to my iPad. I have researched hard drives that have a personal hotspot as the one I ran into in the airplane and then found Eggcyte on KickStarter. The key factors that made me choose an egg over a hard drive are size, security, and freedom from wires. Hard drives tend to be heavy, large and need to be plugged in for power. The egg on the other hand is small, light, and has a rechargeable battery. Another difference from hard drives is that the egg also has a color touchscreen to configure it with. Please help support the project so we all can get an egg!
