Planning to Launch Second Campaign

Last year we launched Bootleg Botanicals on Kickstarter, it was a fun and amazing ride. We over funded and delivered on time to everyone. Now a year later we have outgrown our facility and are relocating to another larger building. This is a great problem to have, but with less than a year of sales the coffers are not filled with cash. We are planning another campaign to get the funds to perform the build out on the building. We are in the food category and have many health requirements for the new space at a cost of around $10,000.

Last time it was really fun I think partially because it was a new idea. What have you seen in projects that come back and ask for more?

Do projects do better the second time because they have a proven track record?

Do they flop because it is no longer new and interesting?

Any advice is appreciated, if negative please keep it professional :)

I have seen projects launch a second time for an expanded product line and be successful. Usually, it appeals to their previous backers in some way. I do think the proven track record can help add to the credibility, but ultimately the project or project must appeal to some kind of niche segment, likely the type of people that backed their previous campaign.
