I found a great article over on Crowdcrux (the cousin of kickstarterforum
The article discusses how to find backers for your project.
There is one big takeaway from the article (will share article link below) that I touched on in my crowdfunding book. It is:
That in order to get backers aside from your project's core Brand Ambassadors, is to join and participate in active forums like this one. The key word is "active" forums. A lot of people start these groups and then abandon them.
Another key takeaway is to support other crowdfunding projects before you start asking for money for yourself.
I am in several online forum writing groups. The ones that I benefit from most are the ones were each writer is trying to help each other.
The other groups are simply, "buy my book, review my book" and it's SPAM that I am releasing myself from the groups in the New Year.
BIG TIP for the New Year. It is beneficial to your campaign that you support other campaigns.
Support other crowdfunding projects before asking for money for yourself.
HERE'S THE FIRST CAMPAIGN THAT I'M SUPPORTING in #2015. I want to make this disabled veteran's dream come to of bringing dream home vacation to people.

BTW, here's the article http://www.crowdcrux.com/how-to-find-se ... r-backers/ (great article)
