Indie Game Devs (short blurb)

Hey everyone,

My name is Drew Mochrie and I am the founder of Rollplay Games Ltd. Our small team of three (Myself, Erik, and Michael -- small group of friends) are currently developing a 'Zelda' inspired game for Android and Apple devices. We are very excited to show you what we have accomplished so far! We will be launching a Kickstarter campaign in the next month or so (late january/ early february).

Being a indie-game developer it is very hard to get noticed amongst the huge app publishing companies. They are pumping out apps left, right and center for a quick buck --- not caring who they please or not... they have no specific audience.

In order for small companies like us to be successful we have to find our niche. We must engage in various gaming communities, write our own press releases, and meet new people at game conferences and contests. It is amazing how much support we receive from other indie game devs doing this exact same thing. After all, we are avid gamers making games!

Hey there.

As a fellow indie game developer, we know everything you said and then some. Keep fighting the good fight, quality over quantity!

Oh, I actually remember finding your project over the weekend on Kickstarter :)
Congrats with getting it up! We launched our own game on Kickstarter Friday morning as well!

I can recommend writing to http://gamesstarter.blogspot.co.uk and http://indieruckus.com/ if you want to get some exposure... We're currently trying to get features on a lot of different sites, but those two were quick to respond. Indieruckus even called us the best new game campaign of last week, and Gamesstarter has both a Kickstarter Tuesday, a Greenlight Wednesday and writes full features as well, so I can only recommend them...

You're also welcome to find us on Twitter, and we can retweet your campaign: https://twitter.com/LastMinuteDK

We hope your campaign goes well!
