Comic Book Kickstarter

Hello, I've been having a lot of first times this week.

My name is Laura Brown-Ojeda, I'm an Artist trained in 2D Animation, Illustration and Character Design. I have a Bachelors in Media Arts and Animation and I'm unknown! Standing out in the art world is incredibly difficult, but I've been pushing forward and I think I've been making some headway.

I've been working on a comic series called Kinesis: The Assailants. It's a hero comic about people who are infected with the 'kinevirus' a virus that has given them extraordinary and amazing super powered abilities. Each similar but unique in it's own right. In this world, the uninfected fear what the infected can do and the government has made it very clear that something has to be done to protect society from the infected. It's almost like they have forgotten that the infected are still human. At the same time a governmental science facility gathers them, studies them and are trying to figure out how to harness their abilities and one group is fighting desperately to stop it all. This group is known as the Assailants. At the start of issue one, however, the Assailants are thrown off coarse, making it harder for our heroes to accomplish much at all. With Society and Government breathing down their throats, The Assailants struggle to push forward on their mission.

So far I've been funding this all on my own, off of my minimum wage salary and I've almost completed issue 1. It's expected release date is September 2014. I have all the pages drawn, the cover art done and all the lettering is complete. I just have to ink and paint all the pages. (I've finished page 1 so far.)

Any help in making this a reality is appreciated, please come check it out! Spread the word and donate if you can!

Thanks so much for reading this!

Hey!

Your comic sounds awesome. I'll definitely share it on my facebook. I think I have some friends who would be interested.

One tip for your page: put some images from your comic. Right now, you have to watch the video to see what the comic will look like. I'd prefer to have my own amount of time to study the images. For me, comics are 50 percent about the story, 50 percent about the art. I want to see the art!

Good luck on your campaign!!

Go to Edit Project. Then in the section labeled Story, and the subsection Project Description (where you typed in all the info about your project), click on the little symbol that looks like a mountain. If you hover over it, you'll see that it says image. That will allow you to upload an image. Hope this helps!
