I'm so happy and excited to tell you all guys that I've just launched Arcana: Sands of Destiny on Kickstarter !
We've been really busy working hard on the game and preparing it for the kickstarter :)

Chek it out herehttps://www.kickstarter.com/projects/205801986/arcana-sands-of-destiny

I have few questions for you too:
1) Have you heard of the people helping you to bring additional traffic etc. for 199$ or so ?
is it worth it?
2) Have you heard of some projects offering to back yours if you back theirs in return? Is it also worth doing?
3) Do you reckon I have any chance of success?
4) Please recommend me what to do or how to improve the campaign.

Also tell me what you think about the game. I mean the game is really good looking, obviously :) Moreover it is well beyound planning stages and not just on the paper or in someone's head.

About the game:
Arcana: Sands of Destiny is a hidden object adventure game where you explore mysterious and magical Egypt at the beginning of the 20th century. Discover artifacts, solve puzzles and quests to defeat evil.
The game is about Jenny Hopkins travelling to Egypt at the beginning of the 20th century to defeat an ancient evil that has been awakened.
We have great story, beautiful colorful art and enchanting music.

People can pledge as low as 5$ to get this game.

We've been working on the game for a year and as of now it's 70% complete but we ran out of budget.
Tons of work has been done and we are at no return point, this game is well beyound planning stages.
We also have great perks for people's contribution. The lowest pledge is 5$ only!

Killer illustrations!

1. Yes - Depends on the company. Which approached you?

2. Yes - I do think this is worth doing.

3. What actions have you taken thus far to promote it?

Thanks :) The game is 70% finished and I want to keep the quality all the way unlike many, many other hidden object adventure games where they give you 30min-1hour free play then you need to buy it and find out that the quality is rubbish and the game finishes after 15 more minutes.

Here is the list of some of them, who tried to lure me :) I deleted the rest of them.

1) I actually have real doubts about this idea since they mostly provide references to the campaigns that were successful. What about the failed ones? I wonder what it would look like on their resume.

2) All of them who claim to help you for the money are not legit hence there is no transparency or confidence in doing business with them. Mind you some of them have 699$ packages.

3) It looks to me they only pick on small indie like projects. Since the big companies have an established audience and simply don't need their service moreover it might even damage their reputation.
Having said that even British prime minister paid 40k pounds for his facebook account to get popularity recently haha.

4) Their methods of bringing the people leave me in greater doubts. How do they know what kind of people they need to target? age, gender, interests? Well I certainly know my audience I'm pretty sure they don't.
All of them claim that they will let everyone know about my project to their followers, friends on their facebook lists, of up to 120k people . What kind of people on their lists? Do they like my kind of game?
Are their people simply other people who play those like 4like, please add me friend and I add you games?
And it goes the same to bringing likes and followers to my facebook.

So far the campaign has been on for 4 days. 2 days ago I paid for 2 adds to promote my facebook page and my add linking to the campaign needless to say they are not doing great.

in 3 days when we hit 10 backers I plan to update with more images from the game.

Also the majority of my backers, as I mentioned in my previous post, backed me right when the campaign was launched it was mega fast like within 2 minutes. It seems to me being on the first page helps a great deal.

Hi guys, we got our first 10 backers! On our kickstarter campaign https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/205801986/arcana-sands-of-destiny It's awesome! Fingers crossed, more people will support us and we make it!

We are proud to announce that we are participating in Kicking it Forward campaign! http://kickingitforward.org This means as soon as our project becomes profitable we will spend 5% of profit on other projects to support fellow indie developers!

We'd much appreciate if you could give a shout about our campaign by sharing our kickstarter page your friends about us, if it isn't a big deal for you :) It is for us ;)

Meanwhile we are working our socks off on making the game and promoting it to get the additional funds. Here are some more screenshots from the game:

@skytower - I would google each of the company's names. I know a few of those have gotten negative reviews.

Yes, what's called the "honeymoon period" is a window of opportunity to get pledges, when you've recently launched.
