Hi all…my name is Marian Jones and I just posted, a few days ago, my project. It is a promo for a documentary that I will be filming on my mother. She is 94 years old and for three months last year she was emotionally abused and neglected by a caregiver. I spoke with her during this time and she led me to believe that everything was fine, I was out of state on business and couldn't stop in to see her, she didn't want me to worry so she said nothing. I was furious and devastated when I realized what she had gone through. She wanted to let others know what she had experienced so we decided to do a documentary. Elder abuse is rampant and absolutely unacceptable in a civilized society. I want to bring it to the attention of those who have elders in their family. That would be "us all".
