1. The website will only allow you to create a new topic if you have commented at least 3 times on others' topics. You could provide feedback, comments, or add thoughts to other discussions
.
2. Be sure to include your campaign link in your signature.
3. Don't be rude and spam your link.

Well, we were thinking in about 2-3 weeks, but after viewing Brandon Fowler's YouTube videos, I think we'll focus on Twitter to gain some momentum first. Sometimes you just don't know what you don't know. Thanks…. Kevin

True. For those who haven't seen the Hybrid Vigor youtube vid (shows how they accumulated followers), would recommend checking it out:

Very useful article. Twitter can be overwhelming for the uninitiated.

I'm also getting ready to launch in about 2 weeks, and I'm delighted to have found a community of other crowdfunders! I want to learn and prepare as much as possible before I go live, so I am really grateful for all the advice and information here.

Hi everyone.
I've just launched my project and am in real need of any advice, tips or help you guys may have to offer. It's really good to be part of a forum such as this one.
I'd love people to have a look at my project and give any feedback you would like to offer.

@dan - Welcome! I recently put together this list of articles I've written over the past year to help get creators started. Feel free to skip to the section(s) that are relevant to you:
http://www.crowdcrux.com/best-crowdfunding-articles/On the topic of Twitter, I see it as a long-term commitment. The sooner you get involved and learn how to drive traffic/gather followers, the better. You are essentially building a marketing platform over a series of months. Also, don't just toot your own horn. Would recommend a ratio of at least 1:6 depending on the message you are tweeting out, meaning 6 awesome links, quotes, etc. that your audience or people in your industry might find interesting to the 1 message "check out our new product." More info on this:
http://www.crowdcrux.com/kickstarter-so ... -kawasaki/ or this youtube video (long):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rZCDGBnC058A lot of social media is trial and error and experimenting what works/doesn't for your audience or business niche. Personally, I love Buffer for scheduling tweets and tracking analytics. You can also use Bitly to track link clicks or Hootsuite.
