Hello, Every one.

My name is BK, and this is my first project on kickstarter.... it still have 20 more days to go.... all backer are 99% from kickstarter self..

i just wanna know how can i gain backers from outside the Kickstarter... i read alot articles, but still have no idea on it... or it just normal ??

Yes, i do promoted in few art communities, but there is no use. and i just submitted my article in trendhunter, hope it will gain more ppl..

I'm also new to Kickstarter and would still be interested in how your promotions went outside of the Kickstarter platform.

Also, can you recommend any art communities that are friendly towards posting Kickstarter projects? (I am working on this kickstarter project with a team of people, for a Public Art piece, but I would be interested in knowing some art groups for my personal art too).

Thanks BK, and thanks for taking the time to look at the project . I'll check out trendhunter, and I've started looked into G+.

The best thing I can recommend to reaching out to people is calling them or meeting them in person about your project as well as email. A lot of times emails get lost but I have managed to get some A-List celebrities to at least watch my film by calling and being persistent. Don't be rude mind you but check in and be engaging, make them laugh and you will get a lot farther. Sometimes all you're going to get is them passing the information along but that's better than nothing.

Yohanboy - Thanks for the advice. I think it's easy to overlook the power of personal connections when everyone is so digitally connected now.

Yeah, hence why it works so well now. People are genuinely surprised by the reach out to them.
