Hey there,

I’ve got a bit of a situation. I bought a product for $500, but the invoice has a date that’s 5 days before my actual purchase because of a problem with the machine Now, the store is unreachable and is pretty far away.

My question is, can I edit the date on the PDF to the current one? Will that work for my company’s tax return?

Thanks for any advice you can give!

What was the date of delivery of the merchandise?
Did the 5 days' discrepancy effect 2 different tax years?

I can help you out with your accounting question. It makes a difference when keeping track of income and expenses because everything needs to align. From what I understand, if you're dealing with business expenses and income, the first thing to remember is whether you’ve sorted your Business registration. Once that's set, you must record all your income and expenses correctly. This means keeping receipts and documenting what you spend on the business, like supplies, rent, and equipment. You can use accounting software or a spreadsheet if you’re starting.
