Lessons Learned from Campaining

Hey Guys,
Looking to get your opinion on some things from those of you who are a bit more savvy with Kickstarter. First let me give you a bit of background. We are a Hard Rock band from the San Francisco Bay Area, and just launched our first project to fund our debut album. If you wanna check it out here's the link: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/800446671/the-devil-and-me-debut-album.
Our biggest question is what avenues of promotion have been the most successful, and what angle did you take when promoting? We currently are over 25% funded, but only have 7 backers, people have been sharing our project but not a lot of people are actually backing the project. How have you been able to convert those who just wanna check it out, to those who actually pledge an amount?
Feel free to check out the project and give us some feed back on our approach!
Thank you,
-Trevor
