Native CSGO wayland - anyone?

When running CS GO with the SDL_VIDEO=wayland driver with any of these parameters, I get the following errors below.
When I just run it through the default steam settings, I get "Wayland not found" pop-ups.
Does anyone know how to launch CSGO initially via steam on wayland? I think there are other libraries that I need to preload, but I'm not sure which ones.

I don't know what's the issue here. I launch the game via wayland without problems.

I'm an old-timer in the game CS:GO. Played a long time ago, gave up, but now I'm back again. When I came back I also encountered a problem, but not like yours. I was having map crashes while loading, an error popped up. I was worried and nervous, as I did not want to quit the game and lose all the skins, bought from https://globalcsgo.com/trading-sites . The reason was the violation of file integrity. I searched the Internet, solved my problem and now enjoy the game. I advise you also look for information on the Internet or write to technical support. I hope that you will fix the problem and enjoy the game!

I launch cs go through wayland with absolutely no problems, maybe you should reinstall the emulator. By the way, I recently discovered the platform https://skin.club/en/skins?category=Bayonet&type=Knife, with the help of which I open cheap cases, from which, in turn, I get cool skins for weapons.

Getting CS to run natively on Wayland can be tricky. In my experience, the key is ensuring you have the necessary Wayland libraries installed and preloaded before launching.
You’ll need to set SDL_VIDEODRIVER=wayland and preload libEGL and libwayland-client. Some people also suggest using LD_PRELOAD to ensure those libraries are loaded properly. You might also want to try using the gamemoderun command, especially if you’ve got GameMode installed. It helps optimize the game performance. If all else fails, using XWayland is a decent fallback until better Wayland support comes to Steam. Oh, and if you’re into CS skins, check out this site: https://skincashier.com/ for selling your CS skins instantly for real money.

You might be facing compatibility issues since CS
primarily supports X11 rather than Wayland. Here are a few steps you can try to launch CS
with Wayland:

Check Your Environment Variables: Make sure you're setting the SDL_VIDEODRIVER environment variable correctly. You can do this by adding it to your launch options in Steam:

bash
Copy code
SDL_VIDEODRIVER=wayland %command%
Preload Required Libraries: You might need to preload specific libraries. For instance, try adding:

bash
Copy code
export LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libSDL2.so
Adjust the path as necessary based on your installation.

Install Necessary Packages: Ensure that you have the required Wayland libraries installed. You might need packages like libwayland-client and libwayland-server. You can install them via your package manager.

Launch from Terminal: If launching from Steam doesn't work, try running the game directly from the terminal. This can give you more insight into any error messages that might help troubleshoot.

Check for Community Solutions: Sometimes, community forums or GitHub issues for CS
might have specific fixes for Wayland-related issues.

If you’re still encountering problems after trying these suggestions, it might be worth considering running CS
using an X11 session as a workaround for the time being. Good luck!
