Hi,

Hoping to find someone who can enlighten me on how the view count on topics posted in this forum works.

I noticed some topics posted have more views than others, while others may have more comments but less views? Just wondering how the views are counted and whether these are real people viewing it or bots? I'm guessing more views is good, but then I read in the FAQ's section that having more comments is better as your topic will be bumped to the top.

I tried finding the answer in FAQs section and did a quick search using the seach function, but couldn't find anything that explained this.

If anyone knows the answer, would love to know!

I've just checked it and it seems that it's very straightforward.

If anyone (including you) view your post twice, it will have two views.

It doesn't do filtering by IP, etc., so you'll never know if it's a bot or a real visitor.

thanks for your answer! I figured this as much. But thought maybe there was more to it than just that.
