Hello, we launched our campaign a couple days ago. It is our 2nd Kickstarter attempt, so we are building on what we learned. What do you think?

Nice! Really looking forward to seeing how this progresses. Nice quirky steampunk feel. Have you tried getting the word out to steampunk related meetups/news groups? I know Seattle area has a pretty big group of fans. Can you get Abney Park to tweet or FB post about your project?

Thank you!

Yes, I've reached out to them already. Now I'm focusing on getting mentioned by sci fi sites. I don't feel the steampunk community itself can help us make our goal, so I've never planned on it. :)

Well, one of our soundtrack bands is based in Seattle and an occasional member of Abney Park, I'm debating on whether to ask them directly for a mention.

It's certainly good to cast a wide net, but the Steampunk crowd are rabid-fans. I should know.. I'm one of them ;) If they like what you're doing they'll spread the word like wildfire.

Yes, yes! Work all your potential sources! And I just have to say... Abney Park is awesome in concert.

Perhaps, but I feel there are so many projects out now that no matter the passion, the money can only be stretched so far.

Indeed. I've seen them twice. :)

I'm going to keep an eye on your project.. see if I can think of some ways to help promote.

What did you learn from your first campaign?

Make the goal lower than your prefered budget, feature the creator more, and show more filmed content. Though with re-castings and costume delays new content won't be possible until December.
