Ok so I have a marketing agency guaranteeing me a minimum of 50k raised. Seems great, but I have a bad feeling. What should I do? I know the guarantee is rock solid - but I can’t help but feel like I am missing somewhere here. Any thoughts?

I think its about damn time someone started guaranteeing their work! It's a money back guarantee right? I'd be curious to see, PM me for more details. Make sure you don't pay unless it is signed via contract and everything though duh

Interesting. I'd be wary of guarantees like that. Our own sales team is directed to never guarantee results---only our best good-faith efforts. Hopefully none of them ever violate such direction---and, as far as I know, they've been very good about respecting those expectations.

One reason why we don't like to make guarantees is because there are too many factors beyond our control. We can effectively identify the people most likely to pledge to a project, and we can figure out how best to invite them to come take a look a it... but, if the product-and-price just isn't good enough or if it's just not presented well enough to them or if something else about the project just isn't as right as it should be, then those visitors may leave in droves without pledging at all, and there's nothing that we can do about it.

If you can't offer a money back guarantee, then what kind of company are you? All of them do that, even walmart etc.
