Figured i'd give everyone a heads up, especially to the newer founders of the community. If a company emails you cold when your campaign is live, they are a scam. You can count on it.

Real marketing companies do not do outbound sales. They rely on their reputation in our community to gain business. If you build it they will come is a true philosophy, as long as you are doing good work people will know how you are.

I have tried countless marketing companies during my past projects, and none of them made me reach my goal. Kickstarter projects need a single marketing company who can raise all the funds themselves, single handedly, and if they can't do that - guaranteed in a contract, they are a scam. Plain and simple.

I would also beware if a company does not work on commission. I mean - if they are so good at their work, why don't they work for commission for all the live projects? It seems reasonable to me: either you can raise funds for projects or you can't. And if you are able to raise funds then you are able to work on commission. No contracts are necessary, our word and agreement as founders is enough.

Yes i am agree with this it is really 100% true. because lot of companies market in an unethical way. We need to make a list showing the list of scam marketing companies then it will be easier for everyone to judge.

My prayer is that the people and their sponsors behind all this scam companies should get arrested very soon because they are the corrupter of our society, Thanks for bringing this to the notice of the people

Yes i am agree with you. it is exactly true. because lots of companies are marketing unethical way. if you can show Separate list of scam marketing companies then everyone can easily judge.

I didn't realize there were so many scams out there. Why do they seem to target crowdfunding campaigns in particular? Its not like they have the same kind of money a real business has anyways. Sheesh.

Okay so this seems a little ridiculous. It can't be this bad, can it?

Does anyone know of a way to block these companies from sending me emails?
