How to engage an inactive audience?

Hello, I currently am 4 days into my Carbon Comb project and built up a large almost 1000 follower audience on my Instagram, seemed very engaged until launch. Once launched it was like now one wanted it... I'm currently 43% funded but it's reaching the audience. I've been posting quality photos and keeping up but what are some tips to getting someone engaged or what works? I have tried even a contest and no one does it.

Sometimes your following may find your product interesting but for various reasons not interesting enough to back it up.
Contacting people who have already backed a number of campaigns may be a good idea to get your funding a needed boost. Here's an article about contacting backers with Krowdster's backer directory

I use Pablo/Buffer to manage my Instagram and schedule content. I think that your main URL should either go to an email capture leading up to the launch of your campaign, or your campaign obviously when you're live.
You could highlight limited quantity reward tiers and use some of the concepts I talk about like scarcity, social proof, etc. I think you could also experiment leading with the story behind the project to draw people in.
