Kickstarter campaign for an existing product?

Hi,
In the last month I soft launched a product on Amazon (Peel-and-Stick Lego-compatible Baseplates). I was using the Amazon platform to validate the idea.
I was planning on raising funding for the full launch on Kickstarter which would help me push into Q4 with enough inventory to take advantage of demand. I planned on building out the product offering by offering several more color, size and quantity options with the campaign money so I'm not just running a campaign to only sell what i am already producing.
Do you think the fact that I have the base version of the product for sale on Amazon is against the spirit of Kickstarter?
I know that a lot of loyal backers feel like campaigns that are already for sale are kind of a scam but I wanted to hear the community's thoughts on my particular issue.
Thanks for your feedback!
