30 day campaign vs. 45

I went for the 45 day campaign because it is my first KS.
I think in hindsight I should have went for 30 days, as there is
a lull in the middle, and it might be too long for some backers.
Other than that, happy with our campaign so far.
Thoughts?

Hey Mate, Your campaign looks like it is doing great :)

For most creators, no more than 30-35 days is required. I would say that 45 is a little too much as it looks like you have realised as well. Generally a few new pledges come in as a campaign gets closer to finishing but the lull in the middle definitely makes the campaigning process less enticing and more worrisome for some. All the best!

Great advice! We just launched our campaign and after doing research went for 25 days so that it wouldn't drag for too long.

Having looked around I would agree no more than 30!

Try and keep it to 30. Post it on a Monday around lunch time

Thanks for the Insight. We were considering 45 days but I think 30 days with the right PR would be perfect.

Great to see your views here!
I have been asking the same question since the day I decided to bring eFOLDi to Kickstarter, but still indecisive. For projects with low unit price (<$100), I would definitely choose 30 days max. However, I wonder, for more expensive kits, would it be better to have 45 days for people to make an informed decision and prepare financially? - eFOLDi will be starting around $1000 ... I have tried really hard to keep the price down, but with high value battery and motor, it's just impossible to get it any lower :-(
Though it's much much cheaper than other scooter on the market, I'm concerned that many people wouldn't make their decision that quickly to buy such an expensive kit on Kickstarter (?) Any input will be much appreciated!

I chose 30 days. I am now 17 days away from day 30 and starting to get a bit worried that I should have made it longer. To this point I was getting backers every day, but now I've hit a wall and I don't know when it will pick back up again. Yikes!
