How To Order Swag + Do Fulfillment

Hi Everyone!

I'll be launching a kickstarter soon. Feel pretty good with the creative stuff: video, and website, rewards, and copy, and engagement.

It's the swag that has me 100% stumped. Ordering it for video and then getting it to people.
I've spent HOURS of research but for some reason do not understand what I should do.

I have mock ups of t-shirts and totes from CustomInk - but they don't do shipping from their warehouse. I want to order their mock ups for the video (showing you can get this t shirt and this tote as a reward) and also take photos of this swag for the kickstarter page - but - then I'd have to send out all the t-shirts and totes.

1. And I don't know if this is the best route?

2. How do you cost out the t-shirts and totes? Do you raise the price on them, after you find out what a bulk amount would be?

3. Have you had experience with Zazzle RedBubble or Cafe PRess?

4. Is shipping from home more expensive than going with a company that makes them and ships them out, but how do I find out what company to use?

Please help - this is what is slowing me down. I need advice. Thanks for your time and ideas. :)

Cafepress are pretty good, but then would you need a KS campaign for it if CP can do the fullfillments?

Also you might want to check out Threadless Shops. So you can create and sell your tee's there. I wrote a short piece on them earlier in the year if you want to check it out:

Good luck with it.

Thanks, this is super helpful. I think I hear you say - order from CafePress or something like it, because they can do the fulfillments, right? Thanks!!

Hi Massosical,

We read your post and think we may be able to help. We can offer t-shirt fulfillment if needed through one of our partners. The t-shirts will be sorted, bagged and labeled and shipped to our warehouse at no extra cost to you. Everything is all-in-one.

If you'd like to know more send us an email or call and ask for Joe.

Hope that helps!

Hi, just my 2 cents - what you're doing with fulfillment's makes alot of sense. Campaign owners get the orders coming in but can't manage it. You company sounds interesting, let me know if you want to keep in contact as you may of heard of us too.

For Massocial, yes you'd need to confirm with Cafepress and Threadless (I think this is the cooler option as you're competing against others, but if your tee's stand out...you'll be v popular!).
