Anybody have any experience approaching newspapers with your crowdfunding story to get exposure, or do you know a URL that was really helpful?

I'm on my second crowdfunding. My first one, a book, was a success without going to the newspapers. Now I want to approach local press with a story about how my crowdfunding was successful and that I'm coming up on my second book. I'm looking for advice on how you guys did it.

You should definitely try and tweet some authors/editors on twitter
