Hello everyone,
My name is AmishShogun (Online anyways) and I am the main Dev of the Napoleonic Wars mod for Arma 3 found here

The goal of the mod is to get it fully realeased some time in the future but while working on it I have thought about starting a crowdfunding project to raise money for Website costs, Server costs and other costs. I would also like to one day start creating a video within the game using in game footage only, would you know of any legal issues that would arise from raising money for something like that? I would assume there could be issue with the video part. I want others opinions and suggestions :D!

I would consult an attorney regarding legal implications. If there are a lot of people that would benefit from the mod and they are willing to support it and you can show them that you have the ability to deliver on it or have a working prototype, I think crowdfunding is something to consider.

We do have a working prototype. You can find it here.

Should I personally ask the Company that created the game permission to do so?
