Successful Projects for the Not So Social Networking Savvy

I have a kickstarter project that is live but I'm not really big on social networking. I think my project is good but its hard to continue to grow the project without support. Any tips for people who arent knowledgeable in social networking?
I have a twitter account and facebook as well but not that many people follow me.
