Best Months to Launch a web (tech)-based campaign

I've done a fair bit of research but can't find good intel concerning the best month to launch a web-based KS campaign.

The best link so far is: http://gotgeniusgames.com/kickstarter-stats-101-does-the-month-i-launch-matter/ though this is specifically about gaming. It is likely representative of KS as a whole, but I'm not sure.

Sal also posted a different link which was again about gaming here: http://www.crowdcrux.com/best-time-launch-kickstarter-project/

Specifically, if my project is web-based (though likely similar for all TECH), and my primary audience is North America, assuming a 30 day campaign....which months are a no-no?

Cheers...Greg

I think it's a bit too specific of a niche to say. Also, in my experience, web-based projects tend to rely more heavily on the individual's own network and marketing efforts.

Would recommend listening to episode six: http://www.crowdcrux.com/itunes

"Launching a Successful Web App on Kickstarter"

Listening on web: http://www.crowdcrux.com/podcast/6

Thanks Sal, in fact I already listened to that podcast a while ago. Even if we forget the specifics of a WEB campaign, I can only assume tech-based campaigns follow the research I have found for game-based ones...though I'd love to know if there was other research out there for non-game based campaigns as to which months were go or no-go.

cheers, greg
