Hi,

We're trying to think of a good way to advertise our project using posters or something... What is a good way to get people to know about it outside of the internet?

Thanks,

Looks to me that you can easily generate interest through street performances with public announcements thrown in between, asking people to support you. and print flyers to give out. Perhaps create a billboard that you can place infront of you while performing.

So get out into the public and play music! simple.

The biggest problem with off-line advertising is the cost, to make an impact with flyers like direct mail you will need to print thousands and then post them, its expensive!

I was at HONK last year and remember you guys there. Why not contact some of the people who organised that, Im sure a lot of the Harvard students who remember you will have some cash to spare:)

Also Why not contact the organisers of the events you would like to go to and let them know you need support - tell them to post your KS campaign to their facebook pages or ask to be paid in advance.
Hope it helps

Why not contact all the local libraries in your city and offer to put on a small, free performance some weekend, contingent on you being allowed to have a stack of your Kickstarter flyers there.

Does New Orleans have small community newspapers - those that come out once a week? Contact the publisher or any reporters and see if they'll interview you about your campaign.
